FAQ
-
How do I hire you?
A signed contract outlining the terms of our agreement is all I need to get started. Some clients prefer to hire me through a recruitment or staffing agency. Others prefer to hire me directly.
-
How do you charge for your services?
I provide my services by the hour. Clients often change requirements mid-way through a project as they learn more about what they need, and change orders for fixed price contracts create unnecessary administrative hassle. It’s much easier for everyone if I charge for my time, and we adapt how I spend that time based on your needs.
-
Do you do all the work yourself?
In most cases, yes. Sometimes I recommend a third party for specific tasks, like video voiceovers or complex graphic design. I usually manage these subcontracts for my clients (with approval), so the process is seamless for you.
-
Do you work remotely or on site?
I have a dedicated home office and have been working remotely full time since 2012. I travel to client sites for specific meetings (e.g., project kickoffs, review meetings, team building), but I don’t routinely work at a client’s office unless there is a specific business need.

Do you provide your own computer and software?
I have my own computer and software that I use for course and content authoring. Depending on the length of the contract, you may prefer I use one of your devices, so I’m working in your technology environment. This is especially important if I’m developing training on how to use enterprise software.
